Revert Draft Revision

Reset a draft revision to its initial state.

Introduction

This feature enables an administrator to roll back all changes created in the latest draft revision of a document. Typically if a wrong import was done resulting in an unusable document or if the admin want to revert a draft.

Prerequisites:

revision is in status Draft

Steps to perform:

In the ‘Admin Console’ select the draft revision
Click on the ‘more’ button and select 'Revert Revision'
Confirm by entering the revision label

Results:

All changes created in the revision of a document are reset
The workflow is reset to its initial state
The revision will still be open

Additional Information

The backend performs a roll-back to the state when the new revision was created based on revsion X-1.
This includes:

Data type	Descriptions
Outline	The outline is reset to the latest released revision X-1
Tags	Tags on modules are reset
Modules	New modules are deleted New module versions are deleted
Change requests	All change requests that were created via a diff import in revision X are terminated and deleted. All manually-created change requests that were available in revision X-1 are reset to its initial state
Changes	All changes for revision X are deleted
Exports	All exports and generated export files for revision X are deleted
