Recent
Efficiently work with your device-specific Recent list.
General
Users can quickly find and open their most recent documents by referring to the Recent list.
This is especially useful for users who frequently switch between multiple documents and need quick retrieval.
Key Functionality
Below a brief overview of the basic functionality of ‘Recent’.
The "Recent" functionality is designed to enhance user productivity by maintaining a dynamic list of the 10 most recently opened documents. This feature ensures quick access to frequently used content
Recent List
In the secondary sidebar - the Recent list - following entries are tracked:
- The 10 most recently accessed documents on this device.
- All document types are considered and logged in the Recent list:
- smart documents
- The list entry will show the last opened chapter title in a second line (if available):
- Line 1: document name
- Line 2: chapter name
- The list entry will show the last opened chapter title in a second line (if available):
- forms
- files
- memos
- smart documents
- The list is ordered chronologically, with the most recently opened document appearing at the top.
Note: To be added to the Recents list, a document must be opened from the Document list. Opening a document from e.g. Favorites will not create a Recents list entry (as the document is already designated as a favorite).
Automatic Update and Overwrite
Each time a document is opened, it is moved to the top of the list.
When the 10-document limit is reached, the oldest list entry is automatically overwritten to make space for the new entry.
Note: Entries in the Recent list are specific to each device and do not synchronize across multiple devices. You can conveniently view the recently opened documents on each specific device, ensuring personalized and relevant access tailored to your usage on that device.
