Library - Content Types

Introduction

The library consists of ‘Smart Documents’, ‘Forms’ and ‘Files’. In this chapter we highlight Files.

Supported File Types

Yonder supports following types of files which can be identified by their dedicated icon:

FILE TYPE ICON
Yonder Smart Document Icon
PDF Icon
Word (docx)
Excel (xlsx)
Power Point (pptx)
Yonder Forms Icon

 

Files

Under files we highlight the behaviour of:

  • PDF
  • Office files (Word, Excel, Power Point)

Opening a file

You can open a file by clicking on the list item in the Library card.

You can view the content depending on the file type:

PDF

The PDF will be opened in a dedicated tab in the PDF viewer of your browser.

DOCX, XSLX, PPTX

The office files will be downloaded. Access your file from your download folder or from the download manager of your browser.

Sharing a link to a file

You can share a link to a file. 
The link creation depends on the file type:

PDF

  1. Select the desired PDF
  2. The PDF will be opened in a dedicated tab . Copy the link (URL) from your browser

DOCX, XSLX, PPTX

  1. Select the desired file
  2. The office file will be added to your download manager. Open the download manager (see red arrow)
  3. Select the download history
  4. Copy the link from the download history (rightclick on the link - see red arrow)

Exporting a PDF File

Files will be exported in your default download folder.

A PDF file has following naming convention: <document name>_<version name>.<file type>
