Fleet Manager
Learn how to effectively manage an aircraft fleet in Yonder..
Fleet Manager
Overview
The Fleet Manager module is responsible for managing aircraft information across different manufacturers within the system. Aircraft data is organized and displayed by manufacturer, and functionalities are accessible through the Admin Console for configuration and maintenance. Integration with document and module assignments ensures aircraft are accurately linked to relevant technical content.
Aircraft Management by Manufacturer
- Aircraft records are maintained separately by manufacturer in the database (e.g., Airbus Fleet, Boeing Fleet).
- The visibility of manufacturer-specific fleets (e.g., Airbus, Boeing) is configured by Yonder on a tenant level.
-
Admin Console Sections are split accordingly:
- Airbus Fleet
- Boeing Fleet (upcoming with the new import process)
-
(Other fleets may be added depending on tenant configuration)
Aircraft Creation and Identification
Aircraft can be created in two ways:
- Automatically via document or module import.
- Manually through the Admin Console.
Each aircraft has a unique identifier depending on the manufacturer:
- Airbus: Manufacturer Serial Number (MSN)
- Boeing: Tabulation Number (Tab Number) (upcoming with the new import process)
Editable Aircraft Properties:
- Aircraft Model
- Registration Number
- Additional fields depending on the manufacturer (see below)
Aircraft Assignments
Document Revisions
- Individual document revisions (typically OEM documents) are assigned to specific aircraft – usually via import.
- These assignments ensure traceability and accurate applicability of documentation.
Module Assignments
-
Modules can be applicable to specific aircraft only.
- If aircraft are assigned to a module, the module applies only to those aircraft.
- If no aircraft are assigned to a module, the module applies to all aircraft associated with the linked document revision.
