Roles and Groups

Learn how roles and groups can help you to manage permissions in Yonder.

By assigning roles and groups to users, administrators can easily manage and control access to functions within Yonder. This approach simplifies the process of granting and revoking permissions and ensures that users have access only to the resources that they need to perform their job functions.

Roles

Roles define a set of permissions or privileges that are associated with a particular function.

In Yonder you can e.g. give access to view a draft revision based on a specific role. Users without this role will not see draft revisions.

Groups

A group, on the other hand, represents a set of roles. A user then can be assigned to a group without having to grant every single role.

For example, user A is an employee in the operations department. If a group ‘operations’ is defined with roles for operations specific needs, only this group could be given to user A to access the functions needed.

Setup

The initial setup will be done during the customer onboarding. Please contact your account manager for further information.
